Which networks your eSIM uses in Iceland
Iceland has three mobile networks: Síminn, Vodafone Iceland and Nova. A travel eSIM does not belong to one of them — it connects automatically to a local partner network when you land, on 4G and, where available, 5G.
What that means in practice:
- Reykjavík, Keflavík airport, the Golden Circle and the Blue Lagoon: solid 4G, streaming-level speeds most of the time.

When another option is the better pick
Being fair matters more than selling. Skip VoaSim if:
- You use almost no data. Two days in Reykjavík, hotel Wi-Fi, maps offline? A tiny per-GB package or a free trial eSIM (usually a few hundred MB for a few days — check the cap and expiry) may cost less.
