Why the longer plan is always the cheaper one
The per-day column above is the whole story. A 5-day plan costs USD 3.78 a day; the 60-day plan costs USD 1.78 a day, less than half. If your trip lands between two durations, compare both totals before you decide.
Example: 12 days in Spain. The 15-day plan at USD 42.90 costs less than buying a 10-day plan and then a 5-day top-up (USD 30.90 + USD 18.90 = USD 49.80). Same idea at 25 days: the 30-day plan at USD 61.90 beats 15 + 10 days.
Days start counting at the eSIM's first connection to a network in Spain, not at purchase. So buying early costs you nothing in lost days. Install at home, keep the eSIM line switched off, and turn it on after you land in Madrid or Barcelona. There is no early-booking discount on this site — the table price is the price.
The cap trap: when a "cheap" GB plan stops being cheap

Coverage in Spain: networks, cities and islands
The eSIM connects automatically to Spanish networks — Movistar, Vodafone and Orange — on 4G and, where available, 5G. You do not pick the operator; the phone selects the strongest signal.
In practice that means service in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, plus solid coverage on the islands, Ibiza and Mallorca included. It works on the high-speed trains between Madrid and Barcelona, with the usual tunnel drops any network has.

Will your phone take it? Quick compatibility check
Dial *#06# on the keypad. If an EID number appears alongside the IMEI, the phone supports eSIM. That test works on any brand.
As a rule: iPhone XR or newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer, Google Pixel 3 or newer, and most phones released from 2020 on. One extra condition: the handset must be carrier-unlocked. A phone still locked to a US or UK operator will refuse any foreign profile, and that has nothing to do with the eSIM you bought. Check with your carrier before the trip.
