A classic Madrid–Seville–Lisbon–Porto loop runs 10 to 15 days, so most travelers land on USD 30.90 or USD 42.90. Trips of 1 to 4 days pay the 5-day package, and the maximum is 90 days per eSIM.
Traveling with someone? A second eSIM in the same order gets 10% extra off. Payment is by international credit or debit card in USD through Stripe, with an invoice by email.
Coverage in Spain and Portugal
The eSIM connects automatically to local networks — in Spain that means partners such as Movistar, Vodafone and Orange — on 4G and, where available, 5G. You do not pick a network manually; the phone does it.
Real-world coverage on this route is strong in Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia, Ibiza and Mallorca, and it holds up on the high-speed trains between Madrid and Barcelona, with the usual dead spots inside long tunnels. Crossing the Spain–Portugal border
There is nothing to do. Badajoz to Elvas, Tui to Valença, or a Seville–Faro bus: the eSIM re-registers on a Portuguese network in a minute or two and keeps the same plan and the same unlimited data. No second purchase, no new QR code, no new activation.
Two small habits help:
- Airplane mode on and off once you are clearly across the border if the signal takes its time reconnecting.
- Keep your home carrier's data roaming off so your phone never quietly falls back to an expensive roaming bill.
Remember the clock: your days start counting at the first connection to a network at the destination, not at purchase. Install at home, leave the eSIM line switched off, and turn it on after landing in Madrid or Lisbon. On Android, specifically avoid enabling the eSIM's mobile data before the trip.

Offline maps and the first hour after landing

- In Google Maps, download areas for Madrid, Barcelona, Lisbon, Porto and any day-trip towns.

When another option may suit you better
Fair comparison matters. If you are in Iberia for three days and only check email, a small GB package from a brand like Airalo, Nomad or Ubigi may cost you less — you just have to watch the cap and the expiry date. If your carrier at home (T-Mobile, Verizon, AT&T, EE, Vodafone, Three) already bundles Europe into your plan, check the current terms in their app before buying anything; daily allowances and post-allowance speeds vary a lot by plan.
A local physical SIM is usually the worst trade on a two-country route: shop queues, passport registration, airport time, and your own number comes out of the phone.
