Saily eSIM not working?
Direct answerIf your Saily eSIM installed but won’t get online, the problem is almost never the carrier: in 8 out of 10 cases it’s data roaming turned off or the wrong line set as mobile data on your phone. The checklist below works for any company’s eSIM — and our free tool helps even if you didn’t buy from VoaSim.

The 60-second checklist (fixes 8 out of 10 cases)
- Data roaming turned on for the eSIM line (the world's #1 cause)
- eSIM line selected as mobile data (not your home line)
- eSIM line turned on (the "Turn On This Line" switch enabled)
- Airplane mode for 10 seconds → off. Still nothing? Restart the phone
- Still nothing? Manual network selection: pick a local carrier from the list
Device-by-device details
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → (tap the eSIM line) → Data Roaming turned on
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming turned on (with 2 SIMs, make sure it applies to the eSIM line)
- Xiaomi / POCO / Redmi: Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → Data roaming → under International roaming pick "Always"
- Motorola: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → (eSIM line) → Roaming turned on
When the problem really is with Saily
Saily (by Nord Security) configures almost everything from the app; check there that the plan shows "active" and which APN it lists for your destination. Issues with purchase, QR code that never arrived, refunds or a used-up plan belong to Saily’s support — the tool here solves the technical side on your phone, which is where most cases live.
Still at home? "No service" is normal
Most travel eSIMs only connect in the destination country. At home it shows "no service" and that is not a defect. Installing it doesn't use up the plan: the days usually start counting when you connect at the destination with roaming turned on.
⚠️ Never delete the eSIM from your phone. With most providers the QR code installs only once: deleting the line can mean losing the plan. Removing the eSIM is a last resort, and only with guidance from the support team of whoever sold it to you.
