eSIM installed, with signal, but no internet?
Direct answerIf the eSIM installed and shows signal but nothing loads, the order of likelihood is: 1) data roaming off on the eSIM line (the world’s #1 cause), 2) wrong line set as mobile data, 3) line turned off, 4) network that didn’t register, 5) APN. The first two solve over 80% of cases.

1. Data roaming (cause #1)
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → (tap the eSIM line) → Data Roaming turned on
- Samsung: Settings → Connections → Mobile networks → Data roaming turned on (with 2 SIMs, make sure it applies to the eSIM line)
- Xiaomi / POCO / Redmi: Settings → SIM cards & mobile networks → Data roaming → under International roaming pick "Always"
- Motorola: Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → (eSIM line) → Roaming turned on
2. Wrong data SIM
Settings → Cellular → Cellular Data → pick the eSIM line (not your home line).
Android: Settings → Connections (or Network & internet) → SIM manager → Mobile data → pick the eSIM line.
3. Line turned off
The "Turn On This Line" switch (iPhone) / "Turn on eSIM" (Android) must be enabled.
4. Network didn’t register
Airplane mode 10 s, restart and, last, manual selection of a local carrier.
5. APN (rare)
Almost never needed. If nothing worked, check the APN listed by your eSIM provider — or send a screenshot to the tool and we’ll check it together.
⚠️ Never delete the eSIM from your phone. With most providers the QR code installs only once: deleting the line can mean losing the plan. Removing the eSIM is a last resort, and only with guidance from the support team of whoever sold it to you.
Frequently asked questions
The icon shows 4G/5G but nothing opens. How come?
The icon means network registration, not traffic permission. Without data roaming on, the network registers you but blocks data — hence the classic "full bars, zero internet" symptom.
WhatsApp works but websites don’t open?
Rare, but usually DNS/APN. Try turning Wi-Fi fully off and check the provider’s APN.
