How to select the network manually abroad

Direct answerWhen the eSIM won’t register on its own, force it: iPhone under Settings → Cellular → (eSIM line) → Network Selection → turn off "Automatic" and pick a local carrier; Android in the eSIM line’s options → Network operators / Choose network → turn off automatic and select from the list.
