eSIM connects, but the internet is slow?

1. Switch local networks

Turn off automatic selection and try another carrier from the list — the difference can be a congested 3G vs. a free 5G. Path: see how to select the network manually.

2. Turn off the savers that choke data

iPhone: Settings → Cellular → (eSIM) → Data Mode → turn off "Low Data Mode"; and disable Low Power Mode
Android: Settings → Network → Data Saver → turn it off

3. Check the network type

If the icon shows 3G/E, force LTE/5G in the line’s options (Voice & Data → 5G/LTE). In some destinations 5G isn’t available for roaming — LTE is the expected behavior.

4. Plan with "fair use"?

Some other companies’ unlimited plans throttle speed after a daily volume. If the slowness started suddenly at the same time of day, that may be it — check your plan’s policy. (VoaSim plans have no speed throttling.)
