Both brands sell the same basic thing: a digital SIM you install before you fly so your phone connects abroad without roaming charges. The difference is the pricing model. GigSky sells data plans by destination and allowance through its app. VoaSim sells one flat price per number of days, with no data cap and no throttling.

How each brand works
GigSky is a long-running eSIM provider. You download its app, choose a country, region or global plan, and buy a data allowance valid for a set number of days. When the allowance runs out you top up or buy another plan. Coverage, allowance sizes and validity vary a lot by destination, so the plan you see for Japan is not the one you see for Kenya.
VoaSim removes the allowance from the equation. You choose only how many days you travel. The eSIM then connects automatically to local networks on 4G and, where available, 5G, in 170 destinations, including Brazil. One Europe plan covers 50 countries with a single eSIM, including Switzerland, the UK, Turkey, Norway and Iceland.

Trips of 1 to 4 days pay the 5-day package. Maximum is 90 days per eSIM. A second eSIM in the same order gets 10% extra off, which is useful for couples. There is no early-booking discount on the English site: the table price is the price, whether you buy three months ahead or at the airport gate. Install and validity: the rules that matter
Your days start counting at the eSIM's first connection to a network at the destination, not at purchase. So install at home, on Wi-Fi, and leave the VoaSim line switched off until you land. On Android, do not switch on the eSIM's mobile data before the trip.
Your physical SIM and your phone number stay in the phone and keep working, so WhatsApp remains on your usual number. Just turn off data roaming on your home carrier so it cannot bill you in the background — more detail in our roaming guide.
Compatibility: iPhone XR or newer, Samsung Galaxy S20 or newer, Google Pixel 3 or newer, and most phones released from 2020 on. Universal check: dial *#06# and look for an EID. If one appears, your phone supports eSIM. Carrier-locked phones must be unlocked first. VoaSim does not sell physical SIM cards.
