Is my phone eSIM compatible? Check in 1 minute

Two conditions: the model must have eSIM and be unlocked from the carrier. Here is the 1-minute check, and the list by brand.

The universal test (more reliable than any list)

List by brand (models with eSIM)

BrandFrom
iPhoneXR / XS (2018) onward — every model since
SamsungGalaxy S20, Note 20, Z Flip/Fold onward; A series only selected recent models (A54/A55 depending on country)
Google PixelPixel 3 onward
MotorolaRazr (2019+), Edge 30/40/50, G84 and several recent G/E models depending on market
XiaomiXiaomi 12T/13/14 onward and some Redmi Note 13+ depending on version
Honor / HuaweiSelected models (P40, Magic 4+); verify with *#06#

⚠️ Important: the same model can ship with or without eSIM depending on the country of sale (common with Xiaomi and Samsung A). The EID test rules.

Condition 2: unlocked

Even with eSIM, a carrier-locked device will reject a travel eSIM. How to check and unlock it for free.

Compatible? Then all that's left is the plan: simulate your price for your travel dates.

Frequently asked questions

How do I know for sure my phone has eSIM?
Dial *#06#: if an EID code appears, it has eSIM. It is the most reliable test because the same model varies by country of sale.
Does any iPhone have eSIM?
From the XR/XS (2018) onward, yes. The historical exception is mainland-China iPhones, which in several models ship without eSIM.
What if my phone has no eSIM?
Your options are a local physical SIM at the destination or a pocket Wi-Fi. Or use the eSIM on your travel partner's phone and share via hotspot.
